- We maintain only properly banded healthy, rock doves/white homing pigeons who are well trained to return home when released. The release of untrained birds of any type is an unacceptable alternative because they are unable to navigate their way home and would not survive in the wild.
- We will only release our trained birds within an approximate 60 mile radius of the Columbus, Ohio area.
- We will never ship or drop off birds for self-release. Beware of anyone that insists it is ok to do this.
- We release our birds only when there is sufficient time for them to return to their home prior to sunset. We will not release birds in the darkness to ensure their safety.
- We only release our birds outdoors and only under favorable weather conditions to allow them to safely navigate home. We will never release our birds in inclement weather such as heavy rain, fog, snow or other severe weather! We will make full refunds if we must cancel the release due to severe weather.
- We ensure an experienced, punctual, properly attired handler accompanies our birds to each event.
- If the ceremony runs late and the birds cannot be released due to nightfall, any payments made will not be refunded. However, a new date for a white dove release will be held for you up to one year for another event of your choice.
